Welcome to your first therapy session

are you feeling overwhelmed, lonely and miserable?

Are you feeling overwhelmed, lonely, miserable, tired and misunderstood by your family members, colleagues, or loved ones? Are you struggling to find your place in this world? Are you confused about the meaning of life and do you use alcohol, drugs, food, sex, games to distract yourself for the pain and anxiety you feel inside?

Perhaps, you have reached a point of no return, at times you think that you would be better off dead. You know you need some help and you are looking for the support of a compassionate, reliable and sensitive therapist who will listen to you without prejudice and help you face your life challenges. You want a change in your life, and you are ready to start therapy.

Starting therapy is a courageous and responsible decision that will improve your life on many levels. After a few sessions, you will get some clarity and understanding of how you got to this point. This will bring you joy and hope for the future and you will start living a meaningful life.

I will help you understand what is causing your pain and we will take practical steps to improve your mental health

Hello, my name is Francine Mabondo, I am a UKCP trainee integrative psychotherapist in private practice, currently  studying on the final years of the MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute.

I was born and raised in Paris, France and I am from a dual heritage. I experienced personal and systemic trauma in my childhood and as a young adult, I became depressed, anxious and experienced identity issues.

I have lived in the UK for the last 25 years where I developed a career in the arts. Progressively I retrained to become a psychotherapist. My personal mental health difficulties have largely shaped the mental health practitioner I have become.

I see clients privately and I also work for the NHS at the Maudsley hospital with people suffering from anxiety, personal and systemic trauma, identity and relational conflicts, addictions,  depression and emotional dysregulation.

You can find more information about how I work here. Please contact me to discuss your needs. I very much look forward to working with you.
